Ann learned at an early age the importance of community and that, for it to thrive and maintain sustainability, we must each do our part by making our little corner of the world a little better than when we came into it.

Along the way, Ann developed an interest in politics, and in her previous life, she was a sales and marketing consultant in the direct mail industry, where she got a taste of what it was like to work with policymakers. Part of Ann’s evolution to finding purpose was through her Leadership DeKalb experience, where their first stop on Government Day was the Georgia State Capitol. Ann had been bitten, but in a good way. This was her opportunity to be a change-maker for the better and to work on issues like economic development and education, which make our communities stronger.

Policy and political climates have changed immensely. To excel within this continuously changing environment of people and personalities, we began early by stressing to our clients the value of public engagement and that strength always comes in numbers. This created opportunities to expand our knowledge base and to become relationship and coalition builders, which led to strategic planning and project management. There is no greater sense of purpose than the ability to provide our clients with a road map to success in helping their organization fulfill its mission every day.
